  • 1st SEC F-PLN: Prediction comparisons
  • 2nd SEC F-PLN: Anticipate diversions, store CMPNY OIS ATC FPL
  • 3rd SEC F-PLN: Reserved for ATC

Q

Explain what the solid green line, dotted and green arrow represent?

A
  • Solid : Current path without pilot action. Managed mode on the flight plan or LS beam or in V/S selected mode whilst respecting the AFS CP altitude
  • Dotted: Predicted trajectory if flight path is managed vertically
  • Arrow is if neither of above and shows flight path angle

Level off segment doesnt show in GS/FLS modes

14
Q

How does Hold to Fix and Hold to Altitude work? (HF/HA)

A

HF (Enters hold over a fix once and automatically exits after one hold)
HA (Enters hold until reaching an altitude the automaitcally exits the hold

16
Q

What does “ENABLE ALTN” Do?

A

Enabling the alternate flight plan deletes all waypoints of the primary flight plan beyond the revised waypoint (including the destination airport and the missed approach)

17
Q

How many Alternate airports can be listed on the Active F-PLN?

A

6

18
Q

What is the decreasing heiracrchy of FMS position?

A
  • Inertial + GPS (IRS/GPS)
    • Inertial + DME/DME (IRS/DME/DME)
    • Inertial + VOR/DME (IRS/VOR/DME), and
    • Inertial only (IRS).
19
Q

What position is displayed on FMS when if GPIRS and RADNAV are lost?

A

FMS computed a position bias based on the difference of MIX IRS and GPIRS. When GPIRS is lost the FMS will apply the last known bias to the MIX IRS

20
Q

What is the consequence if one of the RMPs is in NAV mode?

A

Autotuning on both FMS is interrupted

21
Q

How is a NAVAID or GPS deselected?

A
22
Q

How is a vertical revision insterted?

A

By clicking on time/speed/altitude or wind. also clicking on the waypoint opens both vert+lat revisions

23
Q

What is a limitation on using RTA constraint?

A

Only one RTA constraint can be used. If a second is inserted it will delete the previous one

24
Q

What is CMS on the VERT REV?

A

Constant Mach Segment

25
Q

What kind of waypoints can crew create?

A
