What is “Real-self image”
What we know about our self concept. This is always shifting and never static
What is “ideal-self”
The version of yourself you would like to be, either helpful or hinderance
What is “social-self”
How others see you
what is E-A-C
Experience: the event that has happen to you
Awareness: what you notice and feel about that event
Communication: How you communicate those feelings
What is the difference between Congruent and Incongruent ?
Congruent person has little difference between “real self” and “ideal self”
Incongruent person has little in common to “real self” and “ideal self”
What are Examples of healthy conditions for growth?
there are four
- Self acceptance
- Being accepted by another who is psychologically healthy
- Empathetic understanding
