([Ca2+]blood) calcium concentration within blood Homeostatic Range- 8.5-10.5 mg/ dl
Negative Feedback Loop-Hypocalcemia
Removing calcium from bones and putting them in blood
1.Receptor- parathyroid gland cells
2./3.Receptor Signal- Parathyroid gland generates signal to itself
4. Effector Signal- Parathyroid Hormone (pth)
5. Effector- PTH goes to osteoblasts(activity decreased), osteoclasts(activity increased), and kidneys

3. Control Center- Thyroid gland cells
4. Effector Signal- Calcitonin- reduces osteoclasts activity and increases osteocblast activity
5. Effector- Kidneys(expell excess calcium through waste), osteoblasts increased activity to make calcium leave blood and go to bone), osteoclasts activity decreased( to help
