List four reasons for a full bladder?
Flattened out the uterus
Pushes bowel out of the way

Higher frequency

What are the limitations of an EV?
Pathology can be missed (outside of field of view)
Bladder must be empty
When do you use an EV scan?
Ectopic pregnancy
Early pregnancy/early failed pregnancy
Ovarian detail
Endometrium (thicker when not compressed by bladder)
When do you use Transvesicular scanning?
Assessing free fluid with ectopic pregnancy
Large masses
If ovaries are high in the pelvis
Relational anatomy

Infection (herpes)
