Decrease blood flow Decrease metabolism -lower O2 demanded -decrease blood flow in deep tissue Decrease nerve conduction velocity
What are some problems with commercial ice packs
Chemicals can cause burn to skin
May result in frostbite
What is cryocuff and give an example
It is cold water that is pumped into cuff and used to draw heat from body
Ex: GameReady
How long does treatment for Ice massage last and when do you not use it
Last for 8-10 mintues and do not use with acute inflammation
