2) “FIRE HANDLE” - “PULLED” (NFP)
- for fire/nacelle overheat or visible fluid leak
3) “AGENT” - “DISCHARGED” (NFP)
- for fire/nacelle overheat
- For throttle control failure: DO NOT move condxn lever. Could cause cable fouling
- For fire or Nac O/H, a break in bleed manifold could exist, isolate the wing (close engine bleed air valve &wing isolation valve, discharge remaining bottle if rqd.)
APU shutdown boldface
Warning? (1)
1) “FIRE HANDLE” - “PULLED” (CP)
2) “AGENT” - “DISCHARGED” (CP)
- for fire
- If condxn persists, discharge remaining bottle
GROUD EVACUATION boldface
Warnings? (3)
1) “PILOTS BRIEF” - “ACKNOWLEDGED” (LM)
2) “PARK BRAKE” - “SET” (P)
3) PRESSURISATION - EMERGENCY DEPRESS (E)
4) DC BUS TIE SWITCHES - TIED (E)
5) “RAMP” - “GROUNDED” (LM)
- If required
6) CONDITION LEVERS - FEATHER (CP)
7) FIRE HANDLES - PULLED (CP)
8) DC POWER SWITCH - OFF (E)
- If ramp primary exit: ensure open prior to engine/APU shutdown
- Main wheel well fire: evacuate immediate area by >300ft (600ft w munitions on board). Appch from fore/aft only
- If ^^ exists (or hot brakes), chock Nose wheel only
NORMAL BRAKE FAILURE boldface
1) “FEET CLEAR, BRAKES EMERGENCY” -
“EMERGENCY” (E)
ABORT boldface
Warnings? (1)
1) THROTTLES - FLIGHT IDLE (FP)
2) BRAKES - APPLY as rqd (FP)
3) “CONDITION LEVER” (as rqd) - “FEATHER” (CP) - on command of pilot
4) THROTTLES - GROUND IDLE (P)
5) SYMMETRICAL ENGINES - REVERSE (P) - as rqd
- If aborting for prop malf/another scenario that causes asymmetric power, shut down affected engine when throttle in FI.
MULTI-ENGINE ROLL BACK boldface
Warnings? (5)
1) NO.2 CROSSFEED VALVE - OPEN (E)
2) MAIN TANK BOOST PUMPS - ON (E)
3) NO. 1,3 AND 4 CROSSFEED VALVES - CLOSED (E)
4) TD VALVES - NULL (E)
5) PROP GOVERNORS - MECHANICAL (CP)
6) SYNCHROPHASER MASTER - OFF (E)
7) ENGINE BLEED AIR VALVES - CLOSED (E)
- if condition persists
- If BF not initiated ASAP: flame out of all engs could occur
- APU gen: is rqd to start engines after 4 eng failiure. If No.2 crossfeed valve not open, APU start impossible due loss of LH DC power.
- Synchrophaser CBs: if Power loss condxs persist after pulling, remove synchrophaser from its mount
- BF: should correct for prop malfs arising from fuel system, loss of RPM or bleed issues. Crew to check all other systems for normal op
- Systems to be left in config laid out by BF actions. Fuel/bleed systems need operating, take extreme care. Start APU to have backup pwr available.
FOUR ENGINE FAILURE boldface
Warnings? (2)
1) APU - START, RUN (BELOW F200) (E)
2) THROTTLES - SET (1 INCH ABOVE FLT IDLE) (FP)
3) “APU GENERATOR” - “ON” (E)
if any engines do not start
4) “CONDITION LEVER(S)” - “FEATHER” (NFP)
- on command of pilot
5) CONTINUE WITH AIRSTART PROCEDURE
- Fx all engines: removes Hyd assistance to flight controls
- Systems to be left in config laid out by BF actions. Fuel/bleed systems need operating, take extreme care
PROPELLOR REVERSE ROTATION boldface
1) AIRSTART PROCEDURE (if possible)
if airstart not possible;
2) AIRSPEED - REDUCE TO VMCA2 (FP)
THROTTLE CONTROL FAILURE boldface
Warnings? (3)
1) “FIRE HANDLE” - “PULLED” (NFP)
- Do not attempt to restrain a throttle that moves on its own (prop may rev or full pwr)
- Binding/failure of throttle control system: potential for full pwr/full reverse or wrong indications. ESDP
- Do not move cndxn lever or throttle
