Non BLS Patient

A
  1. More than one Vital Sign out of BLS range
  2. Abnormal work of breathing or
    risk of airway compromise during transport
  3. Acute ALOC/GCS of 13 & under
  4. Intoxicated & “Not talking & Not Walking”
  5. Environmental Exposure
  6. Meets SAEMS anatomic or physiologic (RED) trauma criteria
  7. At risk of rapid deterioration (impending childbirth or HTN >160 SBP in pregnancy,
    life-threatening OD with symptoms, angioedema, anaphylaxis etc.)
  8. Anticipated need for ALS medication administration during transport
  9. Severe pain requiring repeat doses of pain medication
  10. Receiving cardiac monitoring (all patients greater than 45 years old with non-traumatic chest pain should receive cardiac monitoring)
