Non BLS Patient
A
- More than one Vital Sign out of BLS range
- Abnormal work of breathing or
risk of airway compromise during transport - Acute ALOC/GCS of 13 & under
- Intoxicated & “Not talking & Not Walking”
- Environmental Exposure
- Meets SAEMS anatomic or physiologic (RED) trauma criteria
- At risk of rapid deterioration (impending childbirth or HTN >160 SBP in pregnancy,
life-threatening OD with symptoms, angioedema, anaphylaxis etc.) - Anticipated need for ALS medication administration during transport
- Severe pain requiring repeat doses of pain medication
- Receiving cardiac monitoring (all patients greater than 45 years old with non-traumatic chest pain should receive cardiac monitoring)
