Binocular Vision
The simultaneous use of both eyes working in conjunction.
Critical Period
The duration of time over which an individual is highly sensitive to Visual Deprivation; thus the plastic Visual System can be subject to environmental manipulation.
Cortical Plasticity
Refers to the brain’s remarkable ability to undergo structural or physiological changes by forming new neural connections based on individual experiences, lifestyle and environment.
Monocular Diplopia
Occurs when two images are viewed by a single eye.
Binocular Diplopia
Double vision is only present with both eyes open and can be corrected by occluding one eye to relieve Sx.
Cerebral polyopia
Seeing two or more images arranged in ordered rows, columns, or diagonals after fixation on a stimulus.
Ocular Motor Balance -
Relative alignment of the Visual Axes in relation to the achievement of BSV.
