either shown positively reinforced role model - rocky or punished role model - rocky on a film of 5 mins being aggressive towards bobo doll
positive: ‘ superb agressive performance’, given sweets
punished: ‘ big bully’ hit with rolled up news paper
they were the either given an incentive or no incentive
and control- no consequences happened to rocky
then went into the observation room where 10 mins with boba dill, plastic farm animals and mallet
incentive condition, experimenter entered and gave them juice and said they would be given more and sticker books if they ‘ show mw what rocky did ‘ ‘ tell me what rocky said’

results
more likely to imitate behaviour they saw to be rewarded and this was also enhanced by if they themselves were given an incentive.
girls watching role model rewarded ( no incentive ) 1.9 whereas punished 0.5 ( no incentive ), girls immitation when saw rocky punished but they were rewarded- acts as motivation to reproduce imitation went rom 0.5 to 3.2
this demonstrated that girls rehearsed behaviour but didn’t reproduce as there was no incentive to do so but when incentive- motivation they could reproduce behaviour
quant data +
- games and TV should show aggressive characters punished for their behaviour and if children reproducee behaviour they should not e rewarded as would provide incentive to imitate- age certification and watershed
