Testing a Green leaf for Starch
A
1) Place the leaf in boiling water for a minute
2) Place leaf in a test tube with ethanol
Place test tube in hot water for 10 minutes
3) Return leaf to hot water for a minute
4) Spread leaf on Petri dish and cover it with iodine solution
Leaf should turn blue/black if starch is present
