Q

3 stages of breathing out

A
  1. The volume of the chest gets smaller as air goes out.
  2. Decreased volume = Increased pressure
  3. Pressurised air form the chest is forced into the less pressurised atmospheric air

Q

3 stages of breathing in

A
  1. Ribs move up and out, diaphragms flattens, volume of chest increases as air comes in
  2. Increased volume = Lower pressure
  3. Atmospheric air at higher pressure than the chest cavity gets drawn in.
