A

Irritabt, carcinogenic.

Causes lung, throat, oesophagus, mouth and bladder cancer

May also damage ciliated epithelial cells in trachea, bronchi and bronchioles and prevent cilia from working properly.

  • loss of self- control
  • violent behaviour

  • imcreased blood flow to skin which means you feel warm but are losing core body heat

Long term effects of alcohol?

A
  • cirrhosis of the liver. Enzymes in luver cells break down the toxic alcohol. This produces other toxic products that damage the liver
  • brain damage- loss of memory and depression
  • can damage fetus (if preggo obv)
  • weight gain
  • fatty liver
  • increased risk of diabetes and heart disease
  • cander of liver, mouth, throat and oesphagus
