If a driver reports that a signal is difficult to see because of sunlight, streetlight or reflections, what must do you do, what must you tell and instruct the driver and how do you signal the first train? (4)

- Tell the driver of the next approaching train what has happened.
- Instruct the driver to report the state of the signal.
- Signal the train normally.

What must you do with regards to trains if you are told that an AWS indication (no indication) received when only a warning indication should have been received?
Make sure each driver to pass over the defective equipment is told about the fault
If you have been told about an AWS fault code 4, when a clear (bell) and warning (horn) indication was received when only a warning (horn) indication should have been received, how will you deal with the next train? (2)
- Make sure the signal concerned is not showing a green aspect, or the semaphore distant signal is not showing clear.
- Instruct the driver of the first train to tell you what AWS indication they received.
If the TSS TPWS equipment has failed and is causing an automatic brake application when the signal is showing proceed, what must you do before you allow a train to pass over the failed TWS equipment? (2)
- Tell the driver what is happening.
- Instruct the driver to operate the override button before passing the TPWS equipment.
