Q
What NT do both PS and S ganglia use at nerve fibres?
A
PS: Ach
S: Noradrenaline

Q
How do autonomic neurones differ from somatic neurones?
A
Somatic: Direct myelination to effector from SC
Autonomic: Myelinated Preganglionic neuron, synapse at ganglia then UM Postganglionic to effector

Q
What are key parasympathetic functions?
A
1) Decrease HR and force of contraction
2) Vasodilation
3) Bronchoconstriction
4) Increased GI motility, secretions and sphincter relaxation
