SRS gives pitch guidance to maintain the greater of V2 or current speed, limited to V2+15
When does the airplane exit SRS mode?
Automatically at the Acceleration Altitude or when another Vertical Mode is engaged
With V/S active, what would happen if you select a higher speed?
Thrust will increase (up to CLB, if needed) until the selected speed is attained. Then the thrust will reduce to maintain selected speed
Based on the PFD shown, what thrust is being commanded?
(Speed is 15 kts above selected in a 2400fpm decent andFMA reads SPEED|V/S-2500|HDG)
Thrust at idle since speed selected is below indicated in a descent
During a normal takeoff, when will the A/THR become engaged?
A/THR becomes engaged (white A/THR on FMA) after the Thrust Lever is moved to the CLB detent
In a Managed Climb, what FMA changes will occur if you pull HDG?

-LAND indicates that the LOC and GS Modes are locked. No action on the FCU will disengage the LAND Mode FLARE and ROLLOUT Modes will successively engage
During an autoland, when do you expect the FMA FLARE indication to appear?
40’ RA
During an autoland, with the FMA FLARE indication displayed, what actions are occurring within the autopilot and autothrust?
-Autopilot aligns yaw axis with runway centerline and flares in pitch
-Autothrust reduces thrust to Idle if engaged
During an autoland, what does ROLL OUT indicate?
The autopilot is guiding the aircraft along the runway centerline and the yaw bar is displayed on the PFD
What are the three ways you can disconnect the Autothrust?
-To Disconnect:
1. Press either AUTOTHRUST INSTINCTIVE DISCONNECT pushbutton
2. Move both Thrust Levers to idle
3. Push A/THR pb on FCU
-Option 3 will cause Thrust Lock
In level flight with the thrust levers in the CL detent, what will happen to the thrust if you press the instinctive disconnect p/b?
Thrust will go to CL (matching actual current TL position)
Note: This is why we normally match the T/L position to current thrust before pressing the disconnect pb
What does THR LK mean?
-Means: Thrust is fixed at the current setting. (Could result from a fault OR pressing the FCU A/THR button.)
-To fix: Move the thrust levers
