aka marie stumpell’s disease. seronegative arthritides. HLA B27+. Autoimmune inflammatory. affects SI joints. causes morning LBP and stiffness. moves up the spine. starts age 15-35 in males. can cause AAA and iritis

usually affects the knee. causes enlarged intercondylar notch
osteoarthritis (OA or DJD)
unilateral distribution in weight bearing joints. Subchondral sclerosis, osteophytes. Heberden’s nodes (DIP) & bouchard (PIP). m/c location= hip then knee. m/c arthritis
Psoriatic Arthritis (PA)
seronegative arthritide. HLA B27+. rad: periarticular erosions, mouse ear erosions, pencil in cup deformities, ray’s sign. inspection: cocktail sausage digits, silver scales, pitted nails.
Reiter’s AKA: reactive arthritis, venereal arthritis
seronegative arthride. HLAB27+. chlamydia. s/sx white pus, conjunctivitis or uveitis. urethritis. arthritis. heel spur and plantar fasciitis “lovers heel”. cant see, cant pee, cant dance with me
Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)
inflammatory condition, usu begins in hands. symmetrical distribution. ulnar deviation of wrist. Pannus formation. Haygarth’s (MCP) and Bouchards (DIP) nodes. rat bite or marginal erosions.

RSSS= Rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogren’s, Scleraderma, Systemic lupus erthematosis (SLE). ALL RA latex +
