Q

What is Gout arthritis?

A

Gout is caused by having a build up of uric acid. In
an individual’s body uric acid is a waste product which indicates that it is meant to be excreted by the kidneys. When this acid is not disposed of there are sharp needle-like crystals that form and go to the joints. The pain usually occurs in the big toe along with redness and swelling of the joints
