What is Adapted Physical Activity?
Any sport or physical activity that is modified or adapted to enable individuals with an impairment, health problem or otherwise lower functional capacity to participate fully

- Development and Behavioural (Impaired Cognitive Function)
- Physical (Loss or Limitation of function)
- Sensory (5 Senses)
What is our Role as Educators and Clinicians?
Promote Physical Literacy and Physical Competence (lego blocks of activity)

The ability to move with poise and confidence across a wide range of activities
What are some Barriers for peoples with Disabilities?
- Intrapersonal (Self confidence, Embarrassment, Anxiety, Fatigue/decreased stamina)
- Interpersonal (Focus on persons disability, Oversymplifying, Shaming, Lack of education)
- Structural (Weather) Physical Barriers, Inaccessible changing facilities)
- Sociocultural ( Lack of Cultural respect, Money, Ability Segregation, Lack of leadership)
What does inclusion mean? What is Inclusive Physical Literacy?
Physical literacy is an inclusive concept=accessible for all-we need
to be deliberate in inclusivity

for Successful Inclusion?

What is the STEP Framework? And what does it stand for?
- Space - Adjust space in rules or environment, Making target bigger
- Task - Altering the rules itself, doing different challenge levels
- Equipment - Refers to objects being used
- People - Making modifications to the people involved (partner drills)
