PM - Set Flaps 20, Bug Vt Speed

When cleared for the approach….
PF - Will select NAV mode or call for PM to select NAV mode
PF will state “NAV Armed”
Completed 5 NM prior to FAF

PM - Put Gear Down, Set Flaps 30, Bug 165 knots
(IF SINGLE ENG)
PF - “Gear Down, Bug Vref, Flaps 20, Before Landing Checklist, set my next altitude”
PM - Put Gear Down, Bug Vref, Set Flaps 20, set next altitude, complete before landing checklist
Completed 3 NM prior to FAF

PF - Selects VS mode to initiate the descent by the time fix is reached. When FMA shows “ALTS CAP,” PF will call out “ALTS CAP, set my next altitude,” the PM sets the next altitude, PF looks for and calls “ALTS”
