Immediately within 24 hours

Making sexual jokes, gesture, remarks or innuendos
Making comments about an individual’s appearance, body, clothing or sexual behavior
Spreading sexual rumors about an individual
Persistent unwanted requests for social dates or sexual activity
Participating in sexually charged conversations
What are some non verbal examples of sexual harassment
Making or posting inappropriate sexual remarks to or photos of an individual via social media sites, text messages or email
Displaying porn material or sexual photos in the workplace
Making a sexually offensive expression
Conduct of a sexual nature intended to embarrass intimidate, demean, or degrade

Unwanted touching
Intimidation
What are soldiers options for dealing with sexual harassment
Direct approach: confront the harasser and tell him or her that the behavior is inappropriate, violates army values, is not welcomed and must stop
Indirect approach: send a letter to the harasser stating the facts, personal feelings about the inappropriate behavior and expected resolution
Third party: request assistance from another person. Ask someone to talk to that harasser, accompany the victim, or intervention to resolve the conflict
Chain of command: report the behavior to an intermediate supervisor or others in the chain of command and ask for assistance in resolving the situation
File an informal or formal complaint: complaint filing procedures are outlined in AR 600-20
What is an informal sexual harassment complaint
Any complaint that an individual does not wish to file in writing
How can informal sexual harassment complaints be resolved
Directly by the complainant or with the help of another unit member, company commander, or another person in the complainants chain of command
Typically can be resolved through discussing, problem identification and clarification of issues

A crime defined as sexual contact characterized by use of force, threats ,intimidation, or abuse of authority or when the visit does not or cannot consent.
Name some examples of sexual assault
Rape and non consensual sodomy
Performing sexual acts or contact with an individual who cannot give consent
Using physical threats or force in order to engage in sexual contact with an individual.. Or performing acts with someone who has expressed lack of consent
Sexual contact without permission which can include fondling and hazing
Attempting to commit any of the acts above
Where are all unrestricted sexual assault reports referred
