To provide a store of energy, to insulate the body from the cold, to protect bones and kidneys from damage, to give the body fat-soluble vitamins (ADEK)

State 3 effects of a fat deficiency on the body
If carbohydrate intake is also reduced, weight gain, the body will chill quickly, the body will be more venerable to injury, Deficiency in ADEK vitamins
