What is the different between trait and state anxiety?
A
Trait = anxious in all surrounding/environments and it is part of their personality State = only anxious in certain situations often caused from negative past experiences (temporary). This will change within a game

What is cognitive anxiety?
A
- mental symptoms of anxiety
- negative thoughts, low self efficacy in their ability
- Learned helplessness may occur

What is somatic anxiety?
A
- physiological symptoms of anxiety
- increased heart rate, sweating, muscle tension

Why is the best performance achieved during moderate levels of somatic anxiety?
A
- low levels = performer isn’t stimulated
- high levels = excessive amounts of adrenaline increasing the likelihood of somatic symptoms
