Q

Wing anti ice system Wing Ice detection system test when is it inhibited

A

anti ice of wing slats,
RESET resets system and removes WING ICE DETECTED alert from EAD. The system will not reset if ice remains on sensors

TEST tests the wing ice detection system WING ICE DET PASS displayed
on the ground
when ice is detected on either or both upper wing surfaces the alert WING ICE DETECTED is displayed

system is inhibited during takeoff, landing and inflight.

Q

The function of the Pneumatic Overheat Detection System (PODS)

A

dual tail ,single manifolds tail,wing,pods e/e, alerts,tested

dual loop sensors in the tail compartment and single loop in the wing and tail anti-ice manifolds

PODS is located E/E compartment

If failure in PODS detected in the ant-ice manifold it automatically closes anti-ice valve at the WING ANTI-ICE OFF/TAIL A-ICE OFF Alert displays

If PODS fails to shutoff the affected manifold the WING MANF FAIL?TAIL MANF FAIL alert dip lays

PODS is automatically tested when the engine fire protection system is tested
