What is done at 10-13+6 weeks?
Early scan to confirm dates
What is done at 11-13+6 weeks?
Combined test- nuchal lucency, PAPPA-A and bHCG to estimate risk of trisomy 21/13/18
If high risk consider CVS or amniocentesis
What is done at 16 weeks?
Information on anomaly scan and blood results
If Hb <110 commence iron

How much folic acid should be taken?
400mcg a day
Unless high risk of NTD take 5mg day
- Previous child with BTD
- anti-epileptic medication
- diabetes
- coeliac
- sickle/thalassaemia
- BMI>30
