Objectives of the Air Traffic Services
1) Prevent collisions between aircraft in flight and the manoeuvring area.
2) Expedite and maintain an orderly flow of air traffic.
3) Provide advice & information useful for the safe and efficient conduct of flights.
4) Notify appropriate organisations regarding aircraft in need of search and rescue aid, and assist such organisations as required.
There are three basic types of Air Traffic Control Services:

- Flight Information Services.
