Anatomy test 2 Flashcards
The superficial layer and its the protective layer of the body.
Epidermis
The deeper layer it is made of connective tissue.
Dermis
Not part of the vein and it is made of adipose (fat).
Subcutaneous tissue
Produce keratin, keeps the epidermis protected remians waterproof.
Keratinocytes
Dendrite cells formed and ingests foreign substances.
Langerhans cells
Spider-shaped, produce melanin.
melanocytes
Tacticle epithelial cells, present at the finction between the epidermis and the dermis.
Merkel cells
Protects aginst abrasion and penetration. waterproof
Stratum corneum - first layer
“clear layer” cells lose nuclei and die.
Stratum lucidum - second layer
Help from keratin, releases lipids
Stratum granulosum - third layer
Desmosomes
Stratum spinosum - fourth layer
Undergoes mitosis. Pushes up
Stratum basle - bottom layer
Papillary layer - bumps that bind the epidermis and dermis
Dermal papillae
Papillary layer - light touch
Meissner’s corpuscles
Papillary layer - oxygen and nutrients are shipped off in the dermis. Co2 and waste get removed.
