A

Muscles: Peroneus longus (Superficial) and brevis (Deep).
2. Origin: Lateral surface of the fibula.
3. Insertion:
a. Peroneus longus: Medial cuneiform and base of 1st Metatarsal. b. Peroneus brevis: Base of 5th Metatarsal.

Q

Superficial Group of Posterior Fascial Compartment of Leg
Main function

A

Gastrocnemius: Medial and Lateral condyles of femur.
b. Soleus: Tibia and Fibula.
c. Plantaris: Posterior femur.
- All of them insert into the calcaneus of the foot (the heel bone), via the calcaneal tendon (Achilles tendon).
- All of them plantarflex the foot.
