Shock position
Also known as the median plane, is a vertical plane that runs lengthwise and divides the body into left and right segments
Sagittal Plane
Divides the body into front and back halves
Frontal or coronal plane
Is parallel with ground and divides body into upper and lower halves
Transverse or horizontal plane
Line through the middle of the body from head down through the legs to the feet
Midline
Line drawn from the patients armpit down to the ankle
