Anaesthetic regime
A
- Procaine
– 2.5ml per side
– corneal nerve block
– Fan the nerve block to get better penetration to the nerve i.e. if there is an anatomical abnormality
– Will know the nerve block has worked when there is drooping to the eyelid – this means that the palpebral nerve has also been blocked. - Xylazine for sedation if required
- Or can do knock down (calves), using xylazine
