Anaesthetic regime

A
  • Procaine
    – 2.5ml per side
    – corneal nerve block
    – Fan the nerve block to get better penetration to the nerve i.e. if there is an anatomical abnormality
    – Will know the nerve block has worked when there is drooping to the eyelid – this means that the palpebral nerve has also been blocked.
  • Xylazine for sedation if required
  • Or can do knock down (calves), using xylazine
