Anaesthetic regime
A
- Intra-testicular and scrotal procaine for local block – can do but can be painful.
- Xylazine for sedation (IM)
- Local into the spermatic cord – not a lot of communication between both sides so have to go into each side
- Also bleb both sides under the skin where the incision will be made.

Analgesic regime
A
- SC meloxicam
- Red tractor requests it along with disbudding.

Antibiotic use
A
- Dry normal day – no ABs.
- If going back into shed which is dirty then prophylactic ABs given as chance of infection in that environment is high.
- Try to persuade farmer to put them out in field so don’t need to use ABs. - Flystrike risk at time of year – fly deterrent useful
