Q

mechanism of action?

A

selective for alpha adreno receptors on smooth muscle of blood vessels and urinary tract (bladder neck and prostate).
stimulation induces contraction, blockade induces relaxation therefore alpha blockers induce vasodilation and reduce bp and resistance to bladder outflow is reduced
