The CCS : Common Core System.
It provides a common computing network and data exchange system for the majority of airplanes systems.

What is the main component of the CCS (Common Core System) ?
The CCRs : Common Computing Resource, composed of a left and right cabinet.
Separate modules within each CCR cabinet perform distinct functions.

What are the CCS controls and/or indications for normal operations ?
There are none! CCS is fully automatic.
But they can be reset by 2 overhead switches through an unannunciated NNC : LOSS OF ALL DISPLAYS.

The left CCR.

How is the left CCR started ?
By pushing the main battery switch ON.

When :
• The left CCR has completed its startup and,
• a power source other than the battery is available.

- Landing gear not up and locked or,
- Flap lever at five or greater or,
- Airplane altitude below an airline defined altitude or,
- Cabin altitude above 10,000 feet or,
- Passenger oxygen on.
