Mass attack, overwhelm defenses of trees Secondary hosts (white bark pine, limber pine, PP)
2002: central BC and spread fast by 2009 hit all Dense monoculture stands (lodgepole pine), all trees killed We didn’t cause, but made lots more ^ at right age for them What about jack pine? Or eastern white pine? Lots research on jack Jack is maybe more resistant? Not sure we don’t know if will keep moving though albert this way or not
