Q

Isoproterenol

A

Beta agonist

  • used in emergency for cardiac support (increase HR, strength of contraction)
  • watch because B2 dilation of blood vessels (diastolic will drop - low BP)

Q

Dopamine

A

D1>B1>B2>Alpha

  • D1 on vasculature in the kidney (cause dilation)
  • prevents renal ischemia in shock
  • also stimulating B1 (heart)
  • very good emergency drug

Q

Clenbuterol & Terbutaline

A

B2>B1»Alpha

  • asthma (bronchiole relaxation) or to prevent early labour
  • relax smooth muscle
  • dilate arteries (not great)
