Q

What is given to ADHD patients also struggling with tics?

A

-Antidepressants may benefit patients with comorbid conditions such as depression, anxiety, enuresis or tic disorders.

-In general, ADHD symptoms are more disabling than tics in patients with both. Although stimulants may exacerbate tics in some individuals, they can be safely used in the majority of patients with both disorders.[68] Clonidine alone or in combination with stimulants is also effective in improving both ADHD and tic symptoms in patients with both conditions
