What is the withdrawal treatment for alcohol use disorder?
Benzodiapines, folic acid and thiamine
What is the withdrawal plan for opioid use disorder?
- 6-8 hr after last dose
- Administer methadone
- If overdosed, administer naloxone

- Encourage continued participation in long-term treatment. Make a relapse prevention plan with patient.
- Ensure patient safety by providing individualized resources Provide assistance and resources for treatment to patient and family.
- Promote participation in outpatient support system (e.g., Alcoholics Anonymous [AA]) and therapy.
- Assist patient to identify alternative sources of satisfaction. Teach and reinforce adaptive coping skills.
