why is there a wheeze?
inflamed bronchus - mucus + oedema made in airways - obstruction –> wheeze
what blood marker can be easily used to tell you how bad the infection is?
CRP
what is post bronchitis syndrome?
infection cleared but you still cough
why does post bronchitis syndrome happen?
bronchial wall still being repaired
main differential you need to rule out?
what extra feature would help rule in this differnetial?

what category of diagnosis is this?
Clinical Diagnosis
if really ↑high CRP, systemically unwell and you know it is bacteria caused
what group of meds do you give?
what are the first and second line drug in this group?
Antibiotics
o 1st: Doxycycline
o 2nd: Amoxicillin
pt has acute bronchitis.
symptoms are pretty standard.
1st line Mx?
Analgesia + drink water
