Q

What does chlorophyll do?

A
  • Absorbs sunlight
  • Uses the sunlight to convert CARBON DIOXIDE (from the air) and WATER (from the soil) into GLUCOSE. OXYGEN is also produced as a by-product

Q

What are the three limiting factors of photosynthesis (stopping it from happening any faster)

A
  • At NIGHT the LIGHT is the limiting factor.
  • In WINTER - TEMPERATURE
  • If it’s warm enough and bright enough, the amount of CARBON DIOXIDE is usually limiting.
