Q

What happens during initiation?

A

transcription factors bind to promoter/enhancer, RNA polymerase is prepared to being copying gene sequence into mRNA

8
Q

What happens during elongation?

A

RNA polymerase breaks free of transcriptiion factors, protective 5’ cap is added to RNA and introns are spliced out

Q

What happens during termination?

A

termination sequence is recognized at polyadeylation site, poly A tail is added to end of RNA molecules
