Engineering responsibility

Manned stations:
Maintenance staff responsible for coordinating the air supply to ensure that the cabin temperatures are maintained.
APU is best to maintain cabin temperature

Unmanned stations:
ground support woman is provisioned by contracted ground handling company

What is the standard APU policy?

Answer 3

Start a few earlier than 15 minutes before departure

Shut down AP within five minutes of arrival

Exceptions :

Local weather
Average temperature 26 or more
Average cabin temperature 14 or less

No preconditioned air-conditioning with a turnaround of 70 minutes or less (if think it’ll get hot)

If only one GPU , APU may be started at -60 minutes
