- Backup/Off-Duty Handgun: Annually (Qual: 1st quarter) Passing: 75% - Two Attempts
- Shotgun: Quarterly (Qual: 1st & 3rd, Train: 2nd & 4th) Passing: 75% - Two Attempts
- Shotgun Slug: Semi-Annually (Qual: 1st & 3rd) Passing: 80% - Two Attempts
- Rifle: Quarterly (Qual: 1st & 3rd, Train: 2nd & 4th) Passing: 90% - Two Attempts
- Captains and above have different qualification requirements
Who is notified if a department member fails to qualify with any weapons system?
The FTTU Rangemaster makes notifications to,
- Respective Bureau Commander, AND
- ODB Bureau Commander
If a department member fails to qualify with a weapons system, the member will have to complete the following remedial/re-certification training,
- Duty Handgun: 20-Hour Remedial Session
- Shotgun Slug: 4-Hour Certification Class
- Rifle: 10-Hour Re-Certification Class

- Contact FTTU Rangemaster, or designee, to schedule an appointment for a make-up firearms
qualification session.
