What is, or was, the commercial revolution?
It is the economic expansion that occurred from 1450 to the 1700s
What is historical imagination?
Being able to look at past events, keeping in mind what the people of the day knew, but at the same time remembering what they did not know
Is it fair to credit Christopher Columbus for the discovery of America?
No, because Christopher Columbus was not the first person to reach America. During the Ice Age a group of Asians came to America by crossing a land bridge that has now been destroyed. After that, around the year 1000, Viking a group of Vikings lead by Eric the red discovered America and then left 10 years later. So Christopher Columbus was actually third to reach America.
What is the Crusades?
It is a battle over the holy land between Israel and Jerusalem.
