TE Flaps - not in the 1 - 25 degree range or asymmetric

Spoiler - Valve open which pressurizes interlock valve
Parking break - set
Stab trim - not in green ban.

When are Predictive Windshear Alerts (PWS) automatically available on takeoff and approach?

A
  1. Thrust levers set for takeoff ( there is a delay of several seconds for the weather radar to provide PWS alerts - or -
  2. In flight below 1200 ft RA

NOTE: Weather Radar automatically scans for windshear below 2300 ft but aural and visual alerts are only issued below 1200 ft RA.

NOTE: Predictive wind shear alerts can be enabled prior to takeoff by pushing the WXR switch on the EFIS panel.

Dotted green: terrain is below aircraft’s altitude
Dotted red: represents terrain conflict

Solid Amber: look ahead terrain caution active
Solid red: look-ahead terrain warning active
