A

This flow occurs after the second engine is started and stable.

GPA BARRF flow
1. Generators (engines) - ON
2. Probes - ON
3. ANTI ICE - as required

  1. BLEEDS - Set
  2. APU - as required
  3. RECALL PANEL - check
  4. RTO - autobrakes set
  5. FLAPS - set to WDR or at at least flaps 1

What is the trigger for Starting Engines?

A

Captain will say “START ENGINE TWO”
FO says “Starting engine two”

  1. PACK OFF
  2. ENGINE START SWITCH TO GROUND
    • Observe START VALVE OPEN
    • Engine start lever to idle - At N2 20% and N1 maximum rotation (1%)
      - as ESL is moved to idle verify the SPAR VALVE CLOSED light
      - changes from Bright to Dim and then extinguishes.

A

Perform the “ISOLATE AND VENTILATE” flow.
1. ENG ANTI ICE - as required
2. ISOLATION VALVE - CLOSE
3. RIGHT PACK SWITCH - AUTO
