Q

What are similarities and differences between carbohydrates and lipids?

A

Lipids and Carbohydrates are both composed of C,H, and O but carbohydrates have more O. They can both be used for energy, but carbohydrates are more readily accessible short term since they are water soluble and lipids tend to be where energy is stored for long term. They both have structural roles in the cell too- carbohydrates make up the cell wall while lipids make up all of the membranes.
