A
  • teachings of ARIUS, a chrisitn priest who argued that Jesus Christ was not fully divine and was a created being by God the Father
  • believes christians attributing false divinity to jesus, betraying ten commandments

A

st. jerome is known for his translation fo the bible into latin, known as the Vulgate
- allowed for more people to understand it and it spread
- the vulgate became the standard version of the bible and jerome’s work made the bible more accessible to ordinary Christians and played an important role in the development of Christianity tin the western world
