What is Capitalism?
When most of the production of good and services is controlled by privately owned companies where they profit from their production, most work is pro formed by people who sell their labour to someone for money.
What is the result of capitalism?
It results in inequality and the system produces conflicts between those who work for wages and those who emloy them
What did stanford say about capitalism?

How does Capitalism create classism?
It comes from the disproportionate distribution of wealth
Capitalism also creates classism resulting in different opportunities in each class.

Measure used for INTERNATIONAL comparisons, it takes the median income and divides it in half.

proposed poverty measure based on the cost of consumption rather than income.
What is Opression??
a particular group or individual being oppressed due to colour, race or gender, this individuals is blocked from self-devellopment and is excluded from the full participation of society, they do not have the dominant right the dominant groups takes for granted.
What is an example of Opression?
Racism, an individuals ethnicity effects their life.
