Poor battery health
A
Causes:
- old battery
- bad reception = constantly searching for signal
- applications running in the background
Solutions:
- replace the battery
- airplane mode
- disable unnecessary features (802.11, Bluetooth, GPS)
- check battery usage in settings to see the possible causes

Swollen battery
A
- build up of gas = fire hazard
- replace battery immediately
- dispose old battery at hazardous waste facility

Broken screen
A
- back up device first
- replace the screen
- tape the broken screen until repaired

Improper charging
A
- check the charging port for any dust or lint
- check the cable for any damage
- if charging is slow, check the power outlet with a multimeter

- effected by location
Cellular - check signal strength
- connectivity may be slower indoors
Wi-Fi - interference can limit throughput
- change location of access point
- change the channel/frequency of the access point

- power down the phone immediately and do not charge
- take out any removable parts such as case, back cover, battery, etc.
- let the device dry out completely before turning back on or charging
- leave device in a dry location for at least a day

Causes:
- charging
- apps that use a lot of CPU
