TN
Twisted Nematic LCD
- OG LCD
- fast response time
- poor view angles
- low color quality
IPS
In-Plane Switching LCD
- slower than TN
- excellent color representation
- wide view angles
- poor contrast
- more expensive
VA
Vertical Alignment LCD
- compromise between TN & IPS
- good color representation
- high contrast ratio
- good viewing angles
- slower than TN
OLED
Organic Light Emitting Diode
- thinner and lighter than LCD
- no glass, no backlight
- higher contrast & lower overall brightness
- tablets, phones, smart watches
- expensive
