Q

How would you investigate how force and and mass affect acceleration?

A

1) set up trolley with card with gap
2) find acceleration of trolley by measuring length of card and put in software and light gate can measure velocity
3) connect trolley to piece of string
4) weight of hook and mass will provide accelerating force
5) weight of hook and mass will accelerate mass and trolley
6) mark starting line
7) hold string as taut and let go
8) record acceleration measured by light gtas

Q

In the investigating the effect of the force experiment why does the mass stay the same

A

Because it’s a system so mass only transferred from one part of the system to another
